On the campaign trail

AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, that’s what St Paul calls us to be in Corinthians (2 Cor 5.20). Much of Bible Society work here and overseas builds on his words as we seek to make the voice of the Bible heard across society and international frontiers; we are very active campaigners.

In England and Wales Bible Society is a fulltime Bible ambassador to our multi-faith culture. We also support Christians, and advise others, in the powerful worlds of education, the arts, media and politics.

Overseas our work continues. Not only do we join with you in putting Bibles into empty, outstretched hands. We also take a step further and speak up for the Bible’s potential with those in key positions of influence.

In countries facing huge challenges we meet and talk with powerful people about the difference this book makes to individual lives. We also remind these powerbrokers of the influence for good the Bible can have on society as a whole.
