Remembrance Sunday 2021Dear Friends,
This weekend is very special- with Remembrance Sunday coming up. Because of the times we are in, we are sadly not going to do what we typically do but we want to pay our respects as best as we can with love and thoughtfulness for those around us. This coming Sunday there is our normal service at St Wilfrid's at 9:30am, but there is no 11am All Age Service - for this Sunday only Although there isn't a gathered Service to attend for 11am, we will be able to link into a streamed Service from the War Memorial at 10:50am (the church bells will be for rung for this as well). You will be able to access the streamed service through the Davenham Life! Facebook page. You will need to be a member of Davenham Life! to view the live stream. Also, you can view a short recorded Service of Remembrance which you may find helpful - to give thanks, pay tribute and remember. We give thanks to all who make a difference - in times of conflict fighting for our freedom, and those ‘heroes’ of today stepping up to make a difference. We pay tribute with grateful hearts. 'We will remember them' 'Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends' (John 15:13) With love, Rob |
