Dear Friends,
Welcome to the website of St Wilfrid’s Church, Davenham and a very warm invitation to join us for our two Sunday morning services. A 9:30 am classic service and a 11:00 am All Age service with a difference – which is a lot less formal and particularly suitable for families and younger people. Please see the ‘Services’ page for details. We occasionally have an evening Zoom Service. If you’d like to be on the mailing list to get the link to these please let Rector Rob know. Also, the Video Library has information on how you can access recorded services and words of encouragement. A warm invitation to our Easter Specials: Palm Sunday - 2nd April - a joyful lead into Holy Week at both our 9:30am and 11am Services. Maundy Thursday - 6th April - a 7:30pm Holy Communion Service. Good Friday 7th April – 10am Easter Garden (an all age friendly time of joyful celebration remembering the Easter hope. Very suitable for young ones). 2pm Quiet Service of reflection (with classic hymns and plenty of space for quiet reflection). Easter Sunday – 9th April - Easter Day celebration at both our Services. Why not join us to celebrate the amazing Easter message. It is joyful and comforting to know in the face of life's struggles that God cares, loves us and calls us to the Easter hope that love and life win. ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life’ (John 3:16).
