Remembrance Sunday 2024Dear Friends,
We are very conscious of conflicts past and, very sadly, going on in our world today. Our thoughts and prayers are for all those affected by war and oppression. On 10th November - Remembrance Sunday - we have a special ‘Remembrance themed Service’ at St Wilfrid's at 9:30am (please note there isn't our usual 9am All Age Service or 10am Classic Service for Remembrance Sunday) There is also a formal Remembrance Service at 10:45 at Davenham War Memorial (the church bells will be for rung in tribute for this). We give thanks to all who make a difference - in times of conflict fighting for freedom, and those ‘heroes’ of today stepping up to make a difference. We pay our respects with grateful hearts. 'We will remember them' 'Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends' (John 15:13) With love, Rob |
