Dear Friends,
A warm welcome to St Wilfrid’s Church - now open again for morning services.
Upcoming services for the Christmas season:
Sunday 13th December – 09:30 Formal Service and 11.00 Informal All Age Service
Sunday 20th December – 09:30 Formal Service and 11.00 Informal All Age Service
Friday 25th December - 10:00 All Age Christmas Day Celebration
Sunday 27th December – 11:00 All Age Service
Sunday 3rd January – 11:00 All Age Service
From Sunday 10th January 2021 onwards, we return to our usual pattern of a classic, 09:30 Formal Service and an 11:00 Informal All Age Service particularly suitable for families and younger people.
We always seek to make sure gathering at St Wilfrids is safe and comfortable. Please note that face coverings are mandatory at our services, except for those with a medical exemption.
However, we also appreciate that some people won’t want to come to Church at this time. To help people feel connected we are continuing our Wednesday evening Zoom Service at 19:30. If you’d like to be on the mailing list to get the link to this please let Rector Rob know.
Please see the ‘Services’ link for information and links to recorded services and words of encouragement.
This year’s Christmas celebrations won’t be like they usually are - but we hold onto the same Good News despite the difficulties. Jesus - the Light of the world - has come.
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord’ (Luke 2:10b-11)
With love,
Rob
